Transformation ~ resurgence

much time had passed since seeker remembered happening upon a traveler in darkness ~ a traveler he had lent his light to for a time.

the way now seemed very, very separate from all the many travelers seeker had known.

seeker had nearly forgotten his madness; for, he now dwelled without the companionship of other humans ~ and he had regained a sense of calming clarity from the reality he was shown by the logical, sensual processes of non-human beings.

seeker felt proud and fulfilled to have traveled so far along the path ~ and yet, here.... he was most vulnerable to darkness.

here, seeker could become his own deity.

here, seeker could become his own enemy.... his greatest fear and unknown.

here, in a brief moment of doubt, seeker could become truly alone.

for ~ he might forget.... his self....

....might forget his light.

     ‘what if....’

but with this sudden consideration came greater awareness, and seeker recalled again, his source of faith....

seeker embraced the return of his oldest and most familiar companions ~ guilt, pride, ego and the others.

self stepped to the fore and reclaimed command ~ and seeker, for a moment, remembered his madness ~ instantly reassured that he had not lost his self after all.

thus, seeker was revisited by a calmness that reaffirmed and sustained his brightly shining light.

and he wandered slowly ~ deliberately in peace, consciously in love.

at long last, seeker’s body grew too weary to travel further ~ and he was made to once again assess his station.

seeker knew not where the great path led, but felt certain that he had traveled farther than he had first presumed possible.

seeker looked about ~ and, although he could see a bit farther up the path, elected to depart from this journey.

looking down upon his self.... seeker saw that he had actually become the light that he once thought he only carried.

seeker realized and reflected upon the wisdom he had gained.

seeker wondered who might be coming along the path behind him, who might benefit from his glow. wondered of their light, and of how he might learn from their travels.

and seeker wondered of the travelers ahead ~ invisible.... or simply distant.

but, seeker was tired and frail and had trekked what he felt was a very long distance.

seeker was ready to rest his body ~ and so.... sat down along the perceived edge of the path.

and, at once....

seeker

~ both lightness and darkness ~

fell into a dream of waking....

overwhelmed and infused with the finest peace

and miraculous sense of

his own conception.

and to a new form.... he brought his life

~ his light, his instinct ~

his ancient wisdom

his faith

as to the child.... came the elder.

and in this new form seeker embraced

~ with ever greater faith ~

~ with renewed desire, excitement, innocence and wonder ~

seeker's purpose.... seeker's journey

and the path

at the beginning of this journey

was very bright....
